It was the weekend and after much deliberation my friends and I decided to stratigically skip being stuck in typical Doha traffic and treat ourselves to good food somewhere close to home. It was thus unanimously decided to be Westin to the rescue! As all of us craved spice and comfort It was quite an easy decision go Thai!
Brief Review:
We were extremly happy with the ambience, service and specially the food and detail to presentation. Here’s what we ate and thought of the place.
Fried beef with sriracha dip
Spiced chicken in pandang leaves
Stir fried crab meat with eggs
Duck red curry with lychees / Steamed Fish / Prawn in red curry sauce.
Highly recommend the duck red curry with lychees, fried beef served with a sriracha dip & stir fried crab meat with eggs. I was not extremely happy with the steamed fish as I’ve definitely had better. This one dish lacked flavor & fines. Damages for the night for 3 starters, 4 mains, 4 desserts, fresh coconut juice and 2 bottles of water left us with a bill of 700 QAR for 4 people. If you’re an SPG member don’t forget to ask for your 20% discount. We found it to be a great deal at 150 per person.
I also tried their business lunch a couple of days ago. Priced at 89QAR the meal includes 3 courses served with tea or coffee. I was super impressed with both portions and offerings and highly recommend it.
Bon Appetite!
