Grape Soy Smoothie

I am terrible at consuming milk and have battled it almost my whole life. I still remember tricking my mum every morning before school by pouring out my share of milk into the plants or having my younger brother drink it all up. It has always made me sick and little did I know until a few years ago that I was border line lactose intolerant. Not a severe case but enough to make me want to throw up.

After lots of research and reading, this week I finally tried something new for the first time – Soy Milk 🙂 Aleluhia!! The asians could go on about its benefits and now I too have officially got on that band wagon! Here’s how soy milk can help:

  • Its perfect for anyone that lactose intolerant as its a plant based proteins.
  • Its prebiotic sugars boost immunity and help decrease toxic substances in the body
  • It reduces cholesterol and does not create insulin dependent diabetes.
  • It contains antioxidants which protect our cells and DNA against oxidation.

My favourite way to consume it?

Grape Soy Smoothie

Recipe :

1 cup Soy milk

1 cup yogurt  ( If not allergic)

1 cup seedless grapes

Run in a blender for a minute and Voila !
