NYC Restaurant week @MarriottMarquis Doha

Most people I know take lunch way too lightly. I am certainly not one them cause to me   L U N C H  means serious business.

Dinner is usually the last meal my poor little belly gets and so no surprise that by 12 noon all the rumblings and grumblings begin. Bad eating habits aside for anyone that loves lunching like me, Doha has plenty of business lunches to indulge in.

This week on offer is the special #NYCrestaurantweek at Marriott Marquis Doha. While browsing a local foodie Facebook group last week I stumbled upon the offer and it was love at first sight.

So here’s what I tried and tested and am happy to recommend this decently delicious meal to anyone looking to lunch out until the 5th of February.

Portions are of a good size and I love that every meal came with a sumptuous bit of salad except the plate of steak. The qualm I had was that the plate lacked a bit of green and the sauce a little too watery. Quite honestly I really wouldn’t mind a nice green asparagus or 2 :P. That said the generous amount of bread served to us as soon as we got there was an added bonus. We were also not once rushed and the meals came out at perfect intervals having us done in about an hour. The staff serving us were extremely polite and courteous. I overheard a very patient and well spoken manager training and mentoring the staff on the floor. Also I always love when the chef comes out to see if his guest are doing well. All in all just the break I needed from work.

Now if only I could have had a quick drink to end that great meal. Sadly it was time for work and to get back to reality.
